Brand identity design built to survive the real world

RX delivers brand identity design for Egypt and MENA that still works when the logo is a 16-pixel favicon, printed in a single ink, or set beside Arabic type — because that is where a logo actually lives, not on the presentation slide.

The Problem

The logo looked perfect.
Then it met a favicon.

Most logo work is judged on one big, backlit slide, where any mark looks good. The trouble starts the week after handoff — when it has to shrink into an app icon, print in a single color, get embroidered onto a uniform, and sit next to Arabic type it was never designed to share a line with.

Beautiful at One Size, Broken at Every Other

The mark has fine detail that vanishes below 32 pixels and turns to mud as a favicon. Nobody drew the small version, so the brand looks amateur exactly where customers see it most.

One Color Was Never Planned

On a stamp, an engraving or a black-and-white contract the gradient logo has no fallback. The team screenshots the color version and quality collapses.

Arabic Was Bolted On Afterward

The identity was designed in English and the Arabic mark was traced later by whoever was free. Half the market now reads a second-rate version of the brand.

What We Deliver

A logo, and the whole system
that makes it an identity

Logo & Lockup System
A primary brand logo plus horizontal, stacked, icon-only and one-color variants — the set real layouts need, so the identity holds together everywhere it appears.
Color System, Not Just Colors
Primary, secondary and functional colors with a one-color fallback and contrast checked for accessibility, so the brand reads on screen, in print and on a black-and-white form.
Bilingual Typography
An Arabic and Latin type pairing chosen to work together at the same weight and rhythm, because identity design in this region lives in two scripts at once.
Mark Variations & App Assets
Favicon, app icon, social avatar and watermark drawn deliberately at small size — not shrunk from the hero mark and hoped for the best.
Brand Guidelines That Get Used
A short, usable rulebook covering logo clearance, misuse, color and type, built around the formats you publish so the identity survives your team, not just the launch.
Source Files & Full Handoff
Editable vector files, exports in every format you need, and fonts licensing where it transfers — logo design and brand identity you own outright.

Hilal Pharmacies

A pharmacy chain whose mark had fine linework that disappeared below 32 pixels and no Arabic wordmark at all, despite most signage being Arabic-first. We redrew the mark from the favicon up and built the bilingual lockup properly.

In-Depth Guide

What separates brand identity design from drawing a logo

A mark is only finished when the small version is drawn on purpose

Recognition does more work than most founders expect: in one survey of 2,648 consumers, 78% could recall a logo's primary color while only 43% could recall its name, and a signature color raised brand recognition by as much as 80%. That recognition happens at favicon size, on a phone, in a feed — not on a billboard. So our brand identity design draws the small, single-color and reversed versions first, then works up. If the mark cannot survive being a 16-pixel favicon, it is redrawn until it can, because that is the size your customers actually meet it at.

Bilingual identity is an architecture problem, not a translation problem

Arabic runs right to left, and each letter takes up to four different shapes depending on where it sits in a word — beginning, middle, end or isolated. A designer who traces Latin letterforms into Arabic produces a mark that is simply wrong to a native reader. Convention places Arabic on the right and Latin on the left in a bilingual lockup, which changes the composition rather than mirroring it. This is why our logo and brand design builds both scripts in parallel: retro-fitting Arabic to a finished English mark almost always produces the weaker logo in the language most of your customers think in.

Guidelines are the deliverable, and most of them go unread

The point of brand identity design is not a PDF of rules; it is a team that can stay on-brand without asking. Companies that hold brand consistency across channels report a 23%-33% revenue uplift, yet most guideline documents describe the brand instead of the work and sit unopened. Ours are short and built around what you actually publish — the social post, the invoice, the storefront, the deck — with the logo files and templates beside each rule. An agency that hands over a mark and leaves has transferred a picture, not a capability.

New logo, or a working system around the one you have?

Send us your current mark and we will show you where it breaks — the sizes, the single-color case, the missing Arabic version. Often the answer is not a redraw but the rest of the identity nobody ever finished.

What our clients
say about us

“The old logo only ever looked right on a big screen. This one works on the shop sign, on the app icon and in Arabic, and that turned out to be the whole point.”

FAQ

Common Questions Answered

A logo is a single mark. Brand identity design is the whole system that mark belongs to — logo variants, a color system with a one-color fallback, Arabic and Latin typography, small-size and app assets, and the guidelines and source files that keep it consistent. The logo is what you notice; the identity is what makes it usable everywhere.

A focused project usually runs four to eight weeks: discovery, logo and mark exploration, then the color, type, variants and guideline build. Adding print collateral or a full rebrand rollout extends that, mostly because of production lead times rather than design. You get a dated sequence at kick-off.

Yes, and this is the part most work in the region gets wrong. Arabic is drawn alongside the Latin script from the first round, not translated at the end. Arabic sits on the right in a bilingual lockup and its letterforms change shape by position, so a mirrored English logo is not an Arabic logo.

Often not. Plenty of companies have a serviceable brand logo and no system around it — no small version, no one-color fallback, no Arabic, no templates. That is a faster, cheaper engagement than a redraw, and we will tell you if it is the right one.

It depends on scope. As a reference, 2026 international pricing runs from roughly $500-$2,000 for a freelance logo and basic marks, to $5,000-$25,000 for an agency visual identity package, with standalone brand guidelines adding $3,000-$15,000. We scope from the deliverables you actually need and quote a fixed price per phase.

You do — every editable source file, exports in every format, and fonts licensing where it transfers. If you later work with a different team or bring design in-house, nothing about your identity is locked behind us.
